ATHLETIC SHOE DRIVE

Dates: Feb. 17 and 20-21, 2010

Want to reduce your footprint on the environment?  Bring your old athletic shoes to the Wolves games on February  17, 20 or 21, and help the team, in conjunction with the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANNC), prevent thousands of shoes from taking up space in our landfills.   The rubber soles will be recycled and broken down, then turned into playing surfaces like tracks, basketball courts, foam hockey mats and parks. Chicago’s Foster Park track is made from recycled kicks and hopefully many more of are to come!

Fans will receive a raffle ticket to win a pair of game-used, autographed skates for each pair of shoes donated.

Shoes must be clean athletic shoes with no metal. Please no Vans, dress shoes, cleats, sandals, or boots.
