Wolves Edged By Admirals, 3-2, In 16th Season Opener

ROSEMONT, Ill.---The Chicago Wolves scored 63 seconds into their first game, but fell victim to a three-goal second period by the Milwaukee Admirals en route to a 3-2 loss in their home opener before a crowd of more than 10,000 at the Allstate Arena Saturday night.

Wolves Host Dog-Gone Good Time

The Chicago Wolves will host Chicago’s Department of Animal Care and Control (ACC) Adopt-a-Dog program, sponsored by Pet Supplies “Plus” and Pedigree, at their home opener against the Milwaukee Admirals at the Allstate Arena on Sat., Oct. 3, at 7 p.m. The team has helped find homes for more than 700 dogs the past seven seasons through the program.

Atlanta Sends Calder Cup Champion Oystrick To Chicago

The Atlanta Thrashers have assigned defenseman Nathan Oystrick (OY-strihk) to the Chicago Wolves. In addition, the Thrashers have assigned defenseman Chad Denny to the Gwinnett Gladiators (ECHL), and the Wolves have released defenseman Brett Motherwell.

Wolves Add 15 Games On My50 Chicago To Broadcast Slate

The Chicago Wolves will return to network television this season when the team airs 15 home games on My50 Chicago (WPWR).  All other contests - home, away and playoffs - will continue to be broadcast live on Comcast Network 100, making 2009-10 Chicago’s seventh straight season broadcasting every game.
