Mike Polisky - President of Business Operations

Mike Polisky


Mike Polisky was named the team's president in January 2009. The 40-year-old most recently served as the president and general manager of the Arena Football League's Chicago Rush and was honored as the AFL's Executive of the Year in July 2008. During Polisky's tenure with the Rush, the franchise was awarded the AFL Commissioner's Award as the league's Organization of the Year three times, including each of the last two seasons (2004' 2007 and 2008.) Under his supervision, the club saw attendance increase every year, culminating in an average of 99 percent capacity in 2008.

 

The Chicagoland native was highlighted as one of the top young executives in Chicago by Crain's Chicago Business in its annual listing of "Chicago's Top 40 Under 40" in November 2007. He also received the All-American Football Foundation's Outstanding Arena Football League executive award in 2006. Prior to joining the Rush, the University of Iowa graduate spent four years at Jim Beam Brands Company, and five years at Public Communications, Inc., in Chicago.

 

Mike and his wife, Liz, have two daughters, Mia and Anna, and a son, Sam, and reside in the Northwest Suburbs.

 

Courtney Mahoney - Vice President of Operations

Courtney Mahoney enters her 12th season with the Wolves and first as the vice president of operations.  Mahoney oversees both game operations and the community relations department.

 

The Western Springs native and graduate of Lyons Township High School joined the Wolves community relations department in 1996 and moved into the leadership role before the 1997-98 season.  She assumed control of game operations prior to the 2000-01 season before being named director of operations in 2004. Since her arrival, the 33-year-old Mahoney has spearheaded some of the team's most  successful community endeavors, including the Read to Succeed and Adopt-A=Dog programs.
A 1996 graduate of the University of Wisconsin.

 

Mahoney resides in Chicago.
 

 

Ticket and Sales Services

Curt Gruber - Vice President of Business Development

Curt Gruber joined the Wolves in April of 2009 as the vice president of business development. The 42-year-old most recently served as the vice president of marketing and business development for the Arena Football League's Chicago Rush. Prior to joining the Rush, Gruber served as a senior marketing manager for Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company and as director of global brand development at Jim Beam Brands Company. The Park Ridge native is a graduate of Illinois State University and received an M.B.A. from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and currently teaches in the Master of Sports Administration program at Northwestern University. Gruber and his wife, Lori, have a son, Nathan, and daughter, Maddie, and reside in the northwest suburbs.

 

Eric Zavilla - Executive Director of Ticket Sales and Services

Eric Zavilla enters his 11th season with the Wolves and third as the team's Executive Director of Ticket Sales and Services. The 35-year-old Palatine native joined the club as a Ticket Sales Representative in 1999 and also held the titles of Account Executive, Senior Account Executive, Season Ticket Sales Manager and Director of Season Ticket Sales before assuming his current role in September of 2007. A 1999 graduate of the University of Kansas, Zavilla first entered the hockey business as an intern with the International Hockey League's Kansas City Blades while in college. Zavilla and his wife, Mandy, have two daughters, Sophia and Isabelle, and reside in the Northwest Suburbs.

 

Marla Fish - Director of Group Sales

Marla Fish enters her 11th season with the Wolves and third as the director of group sales. The 33-year-old Poynette, Wisc., native, joined the organization as a ticket sales representative and served as an account executive, senior account executive and sales manager before assuming her current role in September, 2007.  Prior to joining the Wolves, the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse graduate, spent time working with the Indianapolis Indians of the International Baseball League, Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and the Aspen Athletic Clubs, Fish and her husband, Matt. reside in Gurnee.

 

 

Chip Hurt - Director of Season Ticket Sales

Chip Hurt enters his eighth season with the Wolves and third as the director of season tickets sales. The Woodlands, Texas, native, joined the organization as a ticket sales representative and served as an account executive and senior account executive before assuming his current role in September, 2007. Prior to joining the Wolves, the 36-year-old Hurt spent two years as the corporate marketing manager of the Dayton Dragons of the Midwest Baseball League and two years as a scouting department assistant with the Cincinnati Reds. A graduate of the University of Dayton, Hurt resides in Chicago.
 

 

Julie Seyller - Director, New Business Development

Julie Seyller enters her sixth season with the Wolves and second as senior sales manager.  The 30-year-old native of Buffalo Grove joined the team in 2004 as an account executive and also served as a senior account executive before assuming her current role.  Prior to joining the Wolves, Seyller held positions at Sprint and interned with the Peoria Rivermen and Peoria Pirates.  She received her bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University and M.B.A. from Illinois State University. Seyller and her family reside in Lindenhurst. 
 

 

Jackie Schroeder - Ticket Sales and Services Manager

Jackie Schroeder enters her sixth season with the Wolves and fourth Ticket Sales and Services Manager. The 27-year-old native of Bloomingdale joined the organization as a ticket sales and services assistant in September, 2004, and served as ticket sales and services coordinator before assuming her current title in May of 2006. Prior to joining the Wolves, the Ball State University graduate worked in the stadium/event operations of the Peoria Sports Complex in Arizona and spent time in the game operations department of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Schroeder and her husband, Nate, reside in the Northwest Suburbs.

 

Stefanie Starck - Senior Account Executive

Stefanie Starck enters her fourth season with the Wolves and second as a senior account executive. The 26-year-old joined the organization in December of 2006 as an account executive and assumed her current role prior to the start of the 2008-09 season. The Deerfield native previously worked in the sponsorship and event sales department of Marcus Evans. A graduate of Illinois State University, Starck resides in Deerfield.

 

Aaron Holz - Senior Account Executive

Aaron Holz enters his fourth season with the Wolves and second as senior account executive.  The 26-year-old joined the organization in August of 2006 as an intern and assumed his current role prior to the start of the 2008-09 season. The Oronoco, MN native is a graduate of Bemidji State University, and currently resides in Elk Grove Village.

 

Jude LaRose - Senior Account Executive

Jude LaRose enters his first season with the Wolves as a senior account executive in the club's ticket department. Prior to joining the Wolves, the 27-year-old LaRose served as a senior account executive and youth football coordinator at the Chicago Rush and an account executive with the Chicago Bandits of the National Pro Fastpitch Softball League. A University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign graduate, LaRose resides in Chicago.

 

Jon Palmer - Ticket Sales and Services Coordinator

Jon Palmer enters his third season with the Wolves and second as ticket sales and services coordinator.  The 26-year-old first joined the club as a ticket sales and services intern in September of 2007, before assuming his current role later that year.  The Eastern Illinois University graduate resides in Vernon Hills.

Maureen Kane enters her second season with the Wolves and first as an account executive. The 23-year-old Kane joined the organization in December, 2007, as a ticket sales intern and also held the title of ticket sales representative before assuming her current role in April, 2009. A graduate of Bradley University, Kane resides in Chicago.

Jacqui Hicks enters her second season with the Wolves and first as an account executive.  The 22-year-old joined the Wolves organization in June 2008 as a ticket sales representative, before assuming her current role in 2009.  The University of Illinois graduate also previously served as an intern for DePaul Athletics.  Hicks resides in Glenview.

 

Dan Kelly - Account Executive

Dan Kelly enters his second season with the Wolves after joining the organization as a ticket sales representative in June of 2008.  The 24-year-old graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2007 and served as an account executive for International Sports Management and as marketing intern for Northwestern University's Athletic Department before joining the Wolves. Kelly resides in Northbrook.

Bryan Brown enters his second season with the Wolves and first as an account executive. The Highland Park native, joined the organization in June, 2008, as a ticket sales representative before assuming his current title in April, 2009. Prior to joining the Wolves, the 23-year-old served as an intern with ProFunds Advisors, ENC Marketing and Comcast Sportsnet and spent time as a reporter for soccertimes.com. A graduate of American University, Brown resides in Chicago.

Robert Yoo enters his second season with the Wolves and first as an account executive. The Overland Park, Kansas, native, joined the organization in June, 2008 as a ticket sales representative before assuming his current title in April, 2009. Prior to joining the Wolves, the 25-year-old, served as an intern and sales associate with the Chicago Machine of Major League Lacrosse and interned in the sports and entertainment department of Schwartz Cooper (now Dykema). A graduate of the University of Kansas, Yoo resides in Northbrook.

Partnerships

Mike Gordon - Vice President, Partnerships

Mike Gordon joined the Wolves as vice president of partnerships in February 2009. He most recently served as the vice president of sales for the Arena Football League's Chicago Rush, where he oversaw all of the team's corporate sponsorship initiatives. Under Gordon's direction, the franchise ranked among the top two teams in the AFL in corporate sponsorship revenue in 2006, 2007 and 2008.

 

The 40-year-old Gordon also spent seven years in the athletic department at DePaul University where he oversaw the licensing, marketing, ticket sales, and sponsorships for the athletic department. A graduate of Knox College in Galesburg, Ill., Gordon received his MBA in Marketing at DePaul University. He also performed consulting work for the Chicago Blackhawks, the 1994 World Cup and several minor league baseball teams.

 

Gordon and his wife, Susan, have a daughter, Katie, and a son, Alex, and reside in the Northwest suburbs.

 

Jesse Kirkpatrick - Manager, Partnerships

Jesse Kirkpatrick joined the Wolves organization in February of 2009.  Most recently, Kirkpatrick served as client service manager for the Arena Football League's Chicago Rush.  The 27-year-old received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. with a concentration in sports business from San Diego State University.  Prior to joining the Rush, Kirkpatrick spent time with the South Bend Silverhawks minor league baseball team.  The Crete native resides in Arlington Heights.

Heidi Govekar enters her fourth season with the Wolves and second as client service manager.  The 25-year-old received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa in 2006.  Govekar currently resides in Chicago.

Prior to joining the organization, the Dorchester, Ontario, native, worked as a Market Manager with Bacardi USA and a sales manager with Red Bull. A graduate of Brock University, the 26-year-old McDonald resides in Chicago.

 

Matt Ryan - Partnership Sales Executive

Matt Ryan enters his third season with the Wolves and second as partnerships sales executive. The 24-year-old joined the organization in September, 2007, as a sponsorship sales intern, before assuming his current role in April, 2008. Prior to joining the Wolves, the Golf native served as a management and operations intern for the Chicago Machine of Major League Lacrosse and was a trader's assistant at the Chicago Board of Trade. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Ryan resides in Golf.

 

Jasmine Kalimullah - Partnerships Intern

Jasmine Kalimullah joined the Wolves organization as the partnerships intern in April of 2009.  The SUNY Oneonta graduate and New York native previously worked as an athletic operations intern for C.W. Post University and as an events and promotions intern for the National Soccer Hall of Fame.  The 25-year-old resides in Chicago. 

 

Community Relations and Game Operations

Bryan Campion - Director of Operations

Bryan Campion enters his 12th season with the Wolves and third as the director of operations. The 37-year-old joined the Wolves as a game day staff member in December of 1998 and became a full-time staff member in March, 1999. Prior to joining the Wolves, the DePauw University graduate was the owner and operator of Tee to Green Golf in Deerfield from 1995 to 1999, and interned with the Indianapolis ICE of the now defunct International Hockey League.  A native of Palatine, Campion and his wife, Lindsey, reside in the Northwest suburbs.

Brian Kenny enters his third season with the Wolves and second as game operations coordinator. Prior to joining the Wolves as an intern in 2007, the 25-year-old spent time with the now defunct Chicago Hounds of the United States Hockey League.  Kenny graduated from the University of Illinois and resides in Hoffman Estates.

Elizabeth Casey enters her fourth season with the Wolves and second as head of the team's media relations ventures. The 25-year-old graduate of Northwestern University previously served two seasons as media relations coordinator before assuming the director role following the 2008 Calder Cup Championship. Prior to joining the Wolves, the Colorado Springs, Colo., native, worked as an intern for Sports Illustrated in New York City and USA Hockey Magazine in Colorado Springs. Casey resides in Chicago.

Hannah joined the Wolves organization as the media relations intern in September of 2009. Prior to joining the Wolves, the 22-year-old graduate of the University of Michigan spent four years in the Michigan Wolverines athletic media relations office and also interned in the Boston Bruins' communications department. The New Hampshire native currently resides in Chicago.

Imran Javed - Graphic Designer

Imran Javed enters his fifth season with the Wolves after joining the team in May of 2005.  The 33-year-old previously served as a package and print designer for Adam's Apple and Republic Tobacco.  The Chicago native graduated from Pratt Institute in 1998 with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Design. Javed and his fiancee, Jessie, reside in Chicago.

Prior to joining the Wolves, the Canton, Ohio, native, worked as a merchandise intern with the Akron Aeros of the Eastern Baseball League and as a graphic designer at the Ullman Design Studio.  A graduate of Marietta College, the 22-year-old Moritz resides in the Northwest Suburbs.

Television Department

Ron Storto - Executive Television Producer

Ron Storto is currently in his third season with the Wolves and second as the organization's executive television producer.  Under his current role, the River Forest native oversees the team's television package on Comcast Cable, which broadcasts every regular-season game - including all 40 home contests - as well as every playoff game live. 

 

Prior to joining the Wolves, Storto spent 12 years on Chicago White Sox and Chicago Blackhawks broadcasts working his way up from graphics to executive producer along the way.  A graduate of Oak Park River Forest High School and Columbia College in Chicago, Storto first joined the industry with SportsVision in 1986 and stayed with the station during its transition to SportsChannel, Fox Sports Channel, Fox SportsNet and Comcast.

 

The 45-year-old Storto resides in Chicago.

Alli Rice enters her third season with the Wolves and second as an associate television producer. The 20-year-old joined the organization in August, 2007, as a television intern and assumed her current position in July, 2008. Prior to joining the Wolves, the Westport. Conn., native, spent the 2006-07 season as a video intern for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Rice resides in Evanston.
